Company Profile
The Prime Marine Services, Inc. (PMSI) was incorporated in 1983 under the Philippine laws, and was licensed to recruit, process and deploy seafarers pursuant to the Labor Code, and Rules and Regulations governing overseas employment by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), in compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 of the International Labour Organization (ILO). PMSI is compliant with the General Labor Standards; and Occupational and Health Standards of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The Company has actively participated in promoting and monitoring the employment of Filipino seafarers for overseas maritime labor for about 35 years, and has maintained a positive reputation in the industry.
Goodwill has generated trust and confidence in the Company that it has succeeded to count its years as a manning agency. It has maintained a pool of competent, hardworking, qualified, and certificated loyal crew.
The Company is managed by well-experienced technical professionals from the maritime field, and supported by professionals with long experience in the business of manning and training.
The Chairman of the Board, Engr. Fidel Iniego Ferrer is a Marine Chief Engineer with long experience in seafaring on board different types of merchant vessels, such as Crude Oil tanker, Log/Bulk and General Cargo Vessels. He holds a Master’s degree in Shipping Business Management; and has worked as a Trainer; a Consultant; Marine Surveyor; Technical Inspector and Evaluator of the Maritime Industry Authority; and as an Assessor of the Commission on Higher Education for maritime schools. He is also a reserved officer Lieutenant Commander of the Philippine Navy; and a Commodore of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Executive Squadron.
The Vice President, Chief Engr. Eldefonso G. Uba, is also a Chief Marine Engineer Officer with long seafaring experience on board different types of merchant marine vessels. He held the post of a Member of the Board of Marine Engineer Officers at the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) from 2006-2016; Assessor/Auditor for the maritime schools of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED); Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA); Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); a Superintendent; and an Instructor and Technical Consultant of different shipping agencies and training centers. He is also a graduate of Master of Arts in Maritime Education (MAME); and earned a Doctoral Degree in Educational Management (Ed.D.).
The Crewing Manager, Capt. Mauricio S. Fulgencio, a Master Mariner that commanded various offshore vessels for more than 25 years. He has also held positions as Marine Coordinator, Onboard Marine Adviser, Assistant and Head of Operation, and Designated Personnel Ashore (DPA) from different principals chartered by the Brunei Shell Petroleum in Brunei Darussalam.
Prime Marine Services, Inc. is an active member of the Filipino Association for Mariners Employment Inc. (FAME) since March 1992.
